Have you ever wondered what animals might be saying to each other? It’s easy to imagine simple ideas, like “Danger!!” or “I’m hungry”, but what about a whole conversation? Check out this video of two chatty cats, Mossy and Stina, and imagine the possibilities:

Per their owner: “Stina (right) and Mossy (left) usually fight instead of talk, so this was an odd moment. They kept “talking” for about 1 hour, constantly…They are not related in any way, both are females, approximately 10 years of age when these pictures were taken. They are both still healthy and vigorous.”

These two kitties sound like they could be discussing something complex…like world domination, ala Ren and Stimpy? hmmmm…luckily, we have an English translation:

Here’s another talking cat, Tiggy. Tiggy speaks English, no overdubbing needed. This is what the cat owner thinks she’s saying, and I can totally hear it. Funny that they sound like song lyrics:

“Hello, Hello, Hello, I Know Hello, Hello Hello Hello. Hello. I’m Alone, I’m on my own, I’m Alone, I know hello.”

Per Tiggy’s owner: “My cat can say hello, she only does it when shes looking for you though once you call her or she sees you she’ll stop so I had to set the camera up and leave it for awhile until she did it. She does this at least 10 times a day shes does it in the morning when she wants us to get up, in the night when shes bored and wants us to get up and when shes finished eating and want to know what room were in (which is what shes doing in this video hence the lip licking, shes cleaning them). Its nothing to do with hairballs as she never coughs up a hairball after doing it. Its not because shes in heat she was spayed around 14 years ago, shes 16.”

The next video is not a talking cat, but Corey Williams rapping about his “Mean Kitty” Sparta (lyrics at that link). The video is funny and the lyrics are clever, so listen as you watch.

Finally, I can’t resist leaving you with 27 seconds of total cuteness — a tiny kitten who, while escaping from the cat bed, was overcome by a touch of narcolepsy:

I hope you enjoyed the videos.
